Boarding
The arrival of Coventry boarding was welcomed by me as I did not care for
the other boarding arrangements we tried. Abby spent too much time in the
kennel and when her favorite stuffed animal came home with her wet (with urine)
I knew I could not take her back. At Coventry, her day is spent with
other dogs in play and I know her time in the kennel is limited. I
feel good knowing that someone is on site with Abby at night not watching a
video camera from a remote location. Most important Abby is safe,
well taken care of and in a managed environment.
Coventry has also helped my be a better pet owner. At Coventry, I
have taken pet first aid class and have attended seminars to learn about
nutrition and massage techniques. Because of Coventry I know more about my
pet that makes for a better life together. As you can tell, I like
the organization, it's staff and the way they choose to care for my pet.

Boarding
If you are planning a trip, we offer overnight boarding for friendly dogs.
Our overnight
service is very different from most boarding kennels:
At Coventry,
we understand how hard it can be to trust someone with the overnight care of
your dog. We take the responsibility very seriously. Your
pet will receive safe, loving care, and you can travel with peace of mind.
-
We stay with your dogs overnight and interact
with them to make sure they are calm and comfortable.
-
We provide individual, luxury suites
with clean, comfy beds. Each dog has its own suite, unless two dogs
from the same household want to be roommates. The suites are
individual rooms made from ‘green’ materials. Dogs have complete privacy in
their own ‘rooms’.
-
We limit the number of dogs we board. We have 12
suites! That allows us to give each dog personal attention and
care. Dogs play during the day at camp, rest and come out for another
play period after dinner until 9:00 or 10:00
-
We accept puppies at least 10 weeks old and give
them lots of play time and attention.
-
We cater to senior dogs with memory foam pads,
extra blankets and more rest. They ‘help’ us with office work and
administrative duties while here with us!
-
We evaluate boarders for suitable temperament.
They must play well with other dogs.
-
Staff members are trained in animal behavior and
Red Cross pet first aid. All new info and techniques
available in the behavior world are shared with the staff.
-
Comfort is guaranteed. We’re fully heated
and air conditioned Our entire surface is covered with rubber matting to
help protect your dogs joints against impact on a hard surface.

Q. What dogs will you board?
A. We will only board dogs that pass our day camp evaluation. You
must provide proof of up-to-date inoculations. Puppies should be older
than 10 weeks. And male dogs older than six months should be neutered.
No breed or type is excluded from any program at Coventry. We
exclude dogs by behavior, not breed or type.
Q. How much time do the dogs spend playing?
A. During the day, all dogs follow the day camp schedule.
In the evening, they have a rest period, then dinner and another play/social
time in the evening. They go to bed between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m.,
well-cared for and tired. We let the dog decide how much activity
they would like to have. Many dogs wish to have a bed brought to the play
area so they can “rest and watch” and be included in all activities when they
are ‘too pooped to participate”. Some dogs are ready for bed at
8:00p.m. The decision is theirs!
Q. What days and times can I pick my dog up?
A. Drop off Monday-Friday 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Saturday/Sunday 7:30-8:30. Holidays: no pick ups or drop
offs. We try to offer flexibility to help with your busy schedules.
Pick up Monday-Friday 4:00-6:00p.m. Saturday-Sunday 5:00-6:00
Overnight boarding rate is $60 which includes day camp and 24 hour
supervision.
We are not able to board dogs with any contagious illnesses. We will
not take bitches in season. We can give oral or topical meds, but
not injectables.
Reservations are made on a first come/first serve basis. We suggest one
month’s advance notice. We will do whatever we can to help in an emergency, so
please don’t hesitate to ask for help. For New Clients or for Holidays and
high demand time periods, we will require a deposit equal to 1 night’s fee of
$60.

One week prior: $30 fee, 48 hours or sooner: $60 fee. If you pick-up your
dog earlier than your scheduled check-out, the charge is $30 per day. Please
understand that we have to plan resources for your dog’s stay.
Day camp release form is required and additionally, a form is required giving
us permission to have your dog treated by a veterinarian, if necessary.
Both forms are to filled out just once and we will keep them on file.
